How to Do Your Makeup Like Eva Mendes

Her beautiful bone structure and a love of experimentation have made Eva Mendes a Hollywood beauty icon. Even if you weren’t blessed with Mendes’ strong, stunning features, you can still use these makeup tips to recreate her look.

FACE

Start this makeup look by applying a moisturizer to the face and dabbing some eye cream underneath the eyes.

Using a foundation brush, apply a cream foundation to the entire face to even out the skin tone. Using a foundation brush will provide extra coverage. Next, apply a concealer to any imperfections or to dark circles underneath the eyes. When working with bold colors, such as those found on Eva, it’s extra important to start out with a clear and even skin tone.

Gets the star’s natural-looking glow by applying a peach powder blush to the apples of your cheeks using a blush brush.

EYES

Start the eye makeup look by applying a nude shadow to the entire eyelid. Brush up and out to the crease and blend the shadow well. Next, take a bold-colored eye pencil (Eva opted for green), and draw a line as close to the upper lash line as possible. Smudge it using your fingers or a q-tip. Use the same pencil to draw another line as close to the lower lash line as possible, and inside the rim of the eye. Smudge it using your fingertips or a q-tip. Curl your lashes and apply several coats of black mascara to both the top and bottom lashes.

LIPS

To balance out the makeup look, dab a bit of foundation on your lips to tone down your natural lip color. Then, apply a pale-pink lipstick using your fingertips or a lip brush for a more “stained” lip.
